Beyond Addiction: Healing The Wounds That Bind Us
Addiction is not simply a problem of willpower.
Whether we struggle with substances, food, pornography, technology, relationships, work, or other compulsive behaviors, addiction is often an attempt to meet a deeper need, soothe an old wound, or protect us from something we have not yet learned how to face.
This course offers a holistic approach to understanding and healing addiction from the inside out.
Together, we will explore the physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual roots of addictive patterns. Drawing from parts work, Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, archetypal psychology, family constellations, mindfulness, breathwork, and other holistic practices, you will begin to understand not only what you are doing, but why you are doing it.
Rather than fighting, shaming, or trying to eliminate the part of you that carries an addiction, you will learn how to become curious about what that pattern is attempting to provide or protect.
Throughout the course, we will explore the wounds and unmet needs beneath addiction, the relationship between trauma and compulsive behavior, attachment patterns, the polarization of our protective parts, the inner critic, unconscious family contracts, and the survival archetypes that can keep us bound to old patterns.
Most importantly, you will be given practical tools and guided practices to help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, develop a healthier relationship with your inner world, and strengthen your connection to your own inner guidance.
The goal is not simply to remove an addiction.
It is to understand what the addiction has been trying to do for you, heal what lies beneath it, and create a life in which the old pattern is no longer needed.
This is a journey beyond managing addiction and toward healing the wounds that bind us.
